Often web developers are asked how long it will take to develop full-feature web applications. The answer is: a long time. But a PHP framework can dramatically cut down on the time it takes to get those complicated applications off the ground, which is why I am proposing a HighEdWeb poster session focused on CodeIgniter and benefits of using a PHP framework. Points I'll highlight include: 1) Making common programming tasks, like form validation and CRUD, simple. 2) Featured code libraries that help with large tasks, like making a calendar. 3) Saving the world with code!
